Terms & Conditions
- The property known as "Au Mauvais" is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by J.E.Williams (the owner) to the renter ("the client").
- To book the property the client must send the deposit which is non-refundable unless we can re-let the property for the same period, for the same price.
- You are advised to take out a Travel/Liability Insurance policy with a cancellation clause, which may enable you to recover non-refundable monies.
- The balance of the rental monies must be paid 8 weeks before letting period agreed. The owner reserves the right to give notice in writing of the cancellation of a reservation.
- Any chargeable expenses i.e. breakages, damages, additional cleaning etc should be settled with the owners representative before vacating the property, alternatively it may be deducted from the security deposit.
- The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and take good care of the "property" and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period.
- The client agrees to behave in a manner that will not offend any of the neighbours or properties nearby.
- The client shall report any defects or faults to the property, or breakdown of equipment or machinery, including the Swimming Pool so arrangements can be made for repairs to be carried out. No hard or sharp objects e.g. Oars for dinghy should be taken into the Pool & great care must be taken with any Pool cleaning equipment - children should not be allowed to use it. The cost of replacing a Pool liner can be in excess of £2,000.
- THE OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE CLIENT FOR:-
a) any temporary defect or stoppage in supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant machinery, or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool.
b) for any loss or damage or injury which is a result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owner.
c) for any loss, damage or inconvenience to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the rental period and in which case the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums of money previously paid in respect of the rental period. - Under no condition shall the owners liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.
- The owner reserves the right to enhance or alter facilities without notice.
N.B.
New pool safety legislation came into effect January 2004, which
means that all swimming pools in houses that are let must be
safeguarded. To maximise your safety around the pool we have had
a fence installed which is in accordance with regulations. Please
insure the gate is kept closed and lock when not in use.
This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.
